Care options we help you compare
Not sure which level of care fits? That's normal, and it's where we start. Here's what each option means.
- Independent living
A simpler home with meals, housekeeping, activities and neighbors close by, without daily hands-on care.
Often a fit for active seniors who want less upkeep and more community.- Assisted living
Private apartments with help available for bathing, dressing, medications and other daily tasks.
Often a fit when living alone has started to feel unsafe or overwhelming.- Memory care
Secure communities with staff trained to support people living with Alzheimer's or other forms of dementia.
Often a fit when wandering, confusion or safety are growing concerns.- Skilled nursing
Round-the-clock nursing for complex medical needs, or rehabilitation after a hospital stay.
Often a fit after surgery, a fall or a serious illness.- Respite care
Short-term stays in a community, from a few days to a few weeks.
Often a fit when a family caregiver needs a break, or as a trial before a permanent move.- In-home care
Professional caregivers who come to your loved one's home, from a few hours a week to around the clock.
Often a fit for seniors who want to stay at home with some extra help.

Our help is free for your family
Senior living communities and care providers pay us a referral fee when a family chooses them. You never receive a bill from us.
That arrangement lets us spend real time with you. Our job is to find the place that fits your loved one's needs, personality and budget.
Close to home, and on your side
Right Place Senior Living is a locally owned referral service for families across Utah County.
Choosing care for a parent or spouse usually happens in the middle of everything else: a hospital discharge, a worrying fall, a long-distance phone call. We take the research, phone calls and scheduling off your plate so you can focus on your family.
Because we work only in Utah County, our recommendations come from knowing the communities here, not from a national database.
Questions families ask us
Is your service really free?
Yes. Communities and care providers pay us a referral fee when a family moves in. There's no charge to you at any point, and no obligation to choose any place we suggest.
How do I know which level of care is right?
Start by telling us what a typical day looks like for your loved one: what they handle on their own, where they need help, and any health or memory concerns. We'll explain which options fit and why. If a doctor or hospital has made a recommendation, bring that too.
What does senior living cost in Utah County?
Costs vary widely by level of care, apartment size and the services included. Once we understand your loved one's needs and budget, we'll show you real options in your price range and explain what's included in each.
Will Medicare or Medicaid pay for it?
Medicare generally does not pay for assisted living or long-term memory care, though it can cover a short skilled nursing stay after a qualifying hospital visit. Some families qualify for Medicaid programs or veterans' benefits. We'll help you understand which might apply and who to talk to.
How quickly can you help?
Some families are planning months ahead; others need a place after a hospital discharge this week. Tell us your timeline when you reach out and we'll work to it.
Can you help if I live out of state?
Yes. Many of the families we help are coordinating from a distance. We can share notes and photos from tours and keep everyone on the same page.
